A captured Leader, being Decked Out, and surrendering.

CodexChapter 16 of 18Rules for game version 0.4.0

16.1A captured Leader

  1. 16.1.1

A player whose Leader is captured loses at once, even in the middle of a battle or a Cascade. Nothing else resolves.

  2. 16.1.2

If both Leaders are captured at the same moment, the turn player wins.

16.2Decked Out

  1. 16.2.1

A player whose deck is empty at the start of their Preparation Phase is Decked Out for the rest of the duel, even if cards return to the deck later.

  2. 16.2.2

A Decked Out player loses at the end of their third turn counted from then; the turn in which they became Decked Out is the first.

ExampleYour deck is empty when your turn 20 begins. You play turns 20, 22 and 24 and lose when turn 24 ends, unless you win before.

  3. 16.2.3

Drawing from an empty deck does nothing. It is not a loss in itself.

16.3Surrender

  1. 16.3.1

Either player may surrender at any time. The other player wins.
